Day Leagues

Monday / Tuesday Open

The Monday/Tuesday Day League is an open league accommodating up to 40 fixed teams. To ensure variety, schedules alternate between days and times and are updated in September and January, including mid-season divisional realignment. While fixed teams are established at the start of the season, the Convenor assists in placing new members and managing adjustments throughout the year.

Draw Times:
- Mondays: 9:00 am, 11:15 am, and 1:15 pm
- Tuesdays: 10:00 am and 12:15 pm


Tuesday Day Mens

The Tuesday Day Men's League is a fixed-team league accommodating ten teams in a single draw. Because of the league size, two teams will receive a bye each week. While fixed teams are established at the start of the curling season, the Convenor assists in placing new members to fill any available spots on existing rosters.

- Tuesdays: 2:45 pm


Wednesday Day Open

The Wednesday Day League is an open league featuring teams created by the League Convenor. To encourage social interaction and variety, teams are formed in September and re-shuffled in January, with game times rotating between the three draws. This league is ideal for all skill levels, particularly those new to the sport or players looking to join a team without the commitment of a fixed-roster league. It is an excellent way to meet fellow members and integrate into the club’s community.

Draw Times:
- Wednesdays: 9:00 am, 11:15 am, and 1:30 pm


Thursday Day Ladies

The Thursday Day Ladies League is a fixed-team league accommodating up to 18 teams across two draws. Depending on the final number of registered teams, a bye may be necessary each week. Teams are established at the start of the season, and the Convenor works to place new members into any available openings to ensure full rosters.

- Thursdays: 10:00 am and 12:30 pm


Thursday Day Mens

The Thursday Day Men's League is a fixed-team league accommodating ten teams in a single draw. Because of the league size, two teams will receive a bye each week. While fixed teams are established at the start of the curling season, the Convenor assists in placing new members to fill any available spots on existing rosters.

- Thursdays: 2:45 pm


Friday Day Drop-In

Friday Morning curling is a drop-in league focused on variety and social play. Members arrive starting at 8:30 am to register their preferred position with the Convenor, who balances the teams for an 8:50 am announcement. Play is limited to the first 32 curlers on a first-come, first-served basis. While priority is given to members registered specifically for this league, other club members are welcome to drop in as spares if space permits (a sparing fee applies).

New Friday Open

The Friday Open League is a fixed-team league accommodating ten teams in a single draw. Because of the league size, two teams will receive a bye each week. As an open-format league, teams may consist of any gender combination and any preferred throwing order. While teams are established at the start of the season, it remains a flexible and welcoming environment for all members.

- Fridays: 11:15 am


Night Leagues

Sunday Open

The Sunday Open League is a fixed-team league accommodating up to 24 teams across three draws. As an open-format league, teams can consist of any combination of players, regardless of gender. All teams compete within a single division, playing against one another throughout the schedule, and the season concludes with an exciting mini-playoff round.

- Sundays: 4:30 pm and 7:00 pm


Monday Night Ladies

The Monday Night Ladies League is a Fixed team league with up to 18 teams playing in 2 draws. Teams are separated into A and B divisions and are scheduled in round robin play, with teams promoted or relegated at the end of each round.  Each week one team from each division will receive a bye.  Weekly schedules for A and B divisions rotate between early and late draws.  Fixed teams are established at the start of the curling season with new members added to fill existing short falls.

Tuesday Night Mens

The Tuesday Night Men’s League is a fixed-team league accommodating up to 18 teams. The league is organized into A and B divisions with rotating schedules between early and late draws. Competition follows a round-robin format, with teams promoted or relegated between divisions at the conclusion of each round. Due to the league structure, one team from each division will receive a bye each week. The season culminates in a club championship playoff where the top two Tuesday teams face off against the top two Thursday teams to determine the overall Club Men’s Champions. While teams are established at the start of the season, the Convenor assists in placing new members into any available openings.

Wednesday Open

The Wednesday Open League is a fixed-team league accommodating up to 18 teams across two draws. Game times alternate weekly between the early and late slots. The league is organized into two divisions, with teams being promoted or relegated at the conclusion of each round. Due to the league structure, one team from each division will receive a bye each week. While fixed teams are established at the start of the season, the Convenor helps place new members into any available openings on existing rosters.

- Wednesdays: 6:15 pm and 8:30 pm


Thursday Night Mens

The Thursday Night Men’s League is a fixed-team league accommodating up to 18 teams. The league is organized into A and B divisions with weekly schedules rotating between early and late draws. Competition follows a round-robin format, with teams promoted or relegated between divisions at the end of each round. Due to the league structure, one team from each division will receive a bye each week. The season concludes with a Championship Night playoff, where the top two Thursday teams compete against the top two Tuesday teams to crown the overall Club Men’s Champions. While teams are established at the start of the season, the Convenor assists in placing new members into any available openings.

Weekend Leagues

New Friday / Saturday Open

Unlike our fixed mixed leagues, teams in this new Open League can consist of any gender combination and any throwing order you prefer. The schedule features one game per week, with the potential to play during any of the listed Friday or Saturday draw times. This flexible format is designed to provide variety in both competition and scheduling throughout the season.

Draw Times:
- Fridays: 6:15 pm and 8:30 pm
- Saturdays: 3:00 pm, 5:30 pm, and 8:00 pm


Fixed Mixed

The Fixed Mixed League is comprised of 32 teams, each consisting of two women and two men playing in alternating throwing positions. The league is organized into four divisions of eight teams each, with a promotion and relegation system at the end of each round. All new teams begin their journey in the D division and work their way up. This league offers a unique competitive environment, featuring teams that have played together for decades alongside brand-new squads. Games are played on a rolling schedule across five different Friday and Saturday time slots.

- Fridays: 6:15 pm and 8:30 pm
- Saturdays: 3:00 pm, 5:30 pm, and 8:00 pm


Saturday Mixed Doubles

The Mixed Doubles League accommodates up to 24 teams and runs for 18 Saturday mornings throughout the season. Matches consist of 8 ends and are organized into up to three divisions of eight teams each. The season features two seven-game rounds followed by a dedicated play-down schedule. Please note that the final schedule and specific draw times will be confirmed once registration is complete and the total number of teams is established.

- Saturdays: 8:30 am, 10:15 am, and 12:00 pm


Sunday U7 Adult Development League

The Navan Curling Club Sunday U7 Development League invites individuals who have curled 7 years or less to hone their skills with curlers of similar experience. Members are expected to have some experience on curling ice, preferably from a learn to curl program, from curling clinics (offered each fall at the club), or from prior years of curling. Optional strategy and skills development sessions will be scheduled at various times throughout the season.

Draw Times:
- Sundays: 11:45 am to 1:45 pm


Youth Curling Program

Our youth curling program aims to provide a safe and fun environment for interested youth aged 7 to 20, and is designed to help them understand and master the fundamentals of the sport. New curlers are welcomed at each level. Our experienced coaches will guide them through delivery drills, short games, teamwork and positions of play as well as strategy and curling etiquette. Throughout the season, there will be additional opportunities for interested players to participate in the various bonspiels hosted around Ottawa. The season runs from October to early April. Our program is divided into three age categories:

  • Little Rocks (age 7 to 12) curl on Sundays from 09:00 am to 10:30 am
  • U-18 (age 13 to 17) curl on Sundays from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm
  • U-21 (age 18 to 20) curl on Sundays from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm
