MPP Sarazin To Unveil New Refrigeration System At The Navan Curling Club
On Saturday, 20 September 2025 at 4:00 p.m., Glengarry-Prescott-Russell MPP Stéphane Sarrazin will be at the Navan Curling Club to celebrate their receipt of an Ontario government grant funded through the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) to replace the outdated ice refrigeration system.
After listening to feedback from the membership, the board of directors has taken a decision to update the clubs sparing policy. Going forward, spares must play the front end only. While a spare may call a game, they are limited to throwing lead or second rocks. Click through to read the entire new sparing policy.
Navan Curling Club Awarded Grant
Big news! Thanks to a generous $120,000 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF), our curling club has a brand-new ice plant—and we’re ready to rock!
The OTF grant combined with the $50K received from the Friends of the Mer Bleue (https://fomb.ca/) will cover some of the expense to replace the outdated refrigeration system (ice plant) and extend the life of the Club for another 30+ years.
